Haven Ministry             Homeless Shelter

Haven Ministry opened its doors in April 1991.

About two years earlier, concerned citizens from

various churches realized that there were a

growing number of area residents who found 

themselves unable to provide

thebasic necessities of food and shelter. 

These concerned citizens formed a committee

to look for solutions. With contributions and

support from individuals, churches and grants, the

committee was able to establish Haven Ministry

and purchase a building and supplies to care for

their neighbors in need. 

Haven Ministry is a non-profit organization guided by

a Board of Directors composed of both clergy and lay people. 

Since its inception, Haven Ministry has grown by expanding its physical plant through two major additions and developing its finacial support and procedures.
